Archibald E. Asawa joined Soka University of America in March 1998.  He currently serves as the Vice President for Finance & Administration and Chief Financial Officer.

Asawa's responsibilities include the overall management of the university's operations, including budget, finance and investments, information technology, development, community relations, human resources, facilities and grounds management, purchasing, environmental health and safety, security, events, contracts management and auxiliary businesses.

Asawa previously served as a management consultant to Fortune 500 corporations, universities and public sector groups for over 12 years. He also served as Advisor to the Mayor and Manager of Special Projects for Mayor Richard J. Riordan, City of Los Angeles.

Asawa received his BA in Economics from Yale University and attended the doctoral program in management at UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Management, focusing on strategy and organization.
