Biography
Lisa Baldwin joined Soka University of America in August of 2004.  Her responsibilities include providing counseling and workshops for students in areas of personal growth and development. Lisa is a licensed psychotherapist (LMFT) in the state of California. She is available for students who are struggling with various psychological issues.

In addition to her part-time duties at Soka, Lisa maintains a private psychotherapy practice in Irvine, CA.  She is also an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Pepperdine University.

Prior to joining Soka, Lisa maintained a full time private practice. She counseled students from local universities and colleges.  She also worked with individuals and groups of diverse ages and backgrounds dealing with a variety of psychological issues. Lisa also provided EAP services for corporate clients. She has extensive experience in counseling, and presenting workshops in communication skills, personal development, and life transitions. She has also served as a therapist for Pepperdine University’s Community Counseling Clinic.

Lisa received her MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.  She received her BA in Communications from John Carroll University. She graduated with honors, and received awards in interpersonal and professional communications.
