Soka University is a private, 4 year Liberal Arts University located in South Orange County. The Information Technology Department is looking for a Help Desk Technician on a temporary contract through May 31, 2012 to help serve our campus community.
The Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing the following services:
This person will also be responsible for desktop, laptop and hardware maintenance of user computing devices.
This person acts as the first level contact for desktop users, answering the help desk line and logging service requests. Excellent personal communication skills are a must.
Skills: Candidate for the Help Desk Technician Level 1 should have 2-3 years experience as a computer technician with sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office products and desktop and laptop hardware configurations. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and a highly professional attitude. Good phone communication skills are of utmost importance. Some Macintosh knowledge is a plus.
Education: Technical training in A+ and Windows and Microsoft products is required. An Associate or Bachelors degree is desired.
