Adjunct Faculty Position in Chinese Language

Job Description:

The Language and Culture Program at Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo, California seeks applicants for a part-time, one-semester adjunct instructor position in Chinese language, to begin in February 2010.  The position, potentially renewable, is that of an instructor of Mandarin Chinese at the introductory (first- and second-year) level.  Applicant should have native or near-native command of Chinese and adequate fluency in English, and either have earned an MA degree in a relevant field or else have had extensive experience teaching Chinese language in an English-speaking environment.  Please send a letter of application, a C.V., two letters of recommendation, teaching evaluation statistics for one course (if available), and an MP3 file with two-minute sample reading passages in both Chinese and English to:
