A child of the 1960's, Orin Kirshner participated in his first anti-Vietnam War teach-in when he was four years old (1965); his first Civil Rights march the following year, and was tear-gassed by the US National Guard in Washington, DC while protesting President Nixon's decision to send American troops into Cambodia (1970).
