What Is Alternative Spring Break (ASB)? 
The ASB is an opportunity for SUA students to perform short term volunteer service and learn about a variety of human issues such as literacy, poverty, racism, hunger, homelessness and the environment during the traditional spring break period.

2012 Destination – Harlem, New York  
This year your donation will help a team of 15 Soka University student volunteers and 3 professional staff members travel to Harlem, New York to participate in  youth/adult outreach and urban revitalization/sustainability projects.   Some of the organizations that the ASB 2012 group will work with are: Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club, New York Food Bank, Green Living Technologies, Renaissance Charter and Harlem Center for Education.
