THE DIAMONDS are one of the greatest vocal quartets in the history of rock and roll. The Canadian quartet—formed in the early nineteen fifties in Toronto—continues to expand their audience to this day, performing in a variety of venues and settings worldwide. SEAN SOOTER and his wide array of talents has made his recent addition to the Diamonds' lineup a real plus—for both the group and their loyal fans! Lead singer JERRY SIGGINS had performed all over the world in a wide array of venues before settling down as a permanent member of the Diamonds in 1991. The newest addition to the Diamonds, JEFF DOLAN has an impressive history of performing as a singer but says that his greatest accomplishment are his 4 children. Baritone singer GARY OWENS has spent the longest time as a Diamond joining forces with bass singer John Felton in 1973. As the man responsible for the vocal arrangements for the group, he is well aware of the group’s particular effectiveness.
The Coasters are an R & B group that started in October 1955. The original members of The Coasters were Carl Gardner, Billy Guy, Bobby Nunn and Leon Hughes. In 1957 both Bobby Nunn and Leon Hughes were replaced by Cornell Gunter and Will (Dub) Jones. BILLY RICHARDS of Billy Richards' Coasters is a multi-talented entertainer, having sung, recorded and toured his entire adult life. In 1962, he joined forces with the original bass singer of the Coasters, Bobby Nunn. They performed side-by-side for over 24 years.
Their program for this performance will include such well known hits as:
- Little Darlin'
- The Stroll
- Why Do Fools Fall In Love?
- Splish Splash
- Yakety Yak
- Charlie Brown
- Poisin Ivy
- Along Came Jones
- Love Potion #9
