Fusing a rich history with exhilarating vision, the St. Louis Symphony and its music director, David Robertson, inspire and enthrall audiences and fellow musicians alike. Founded in 1880, the Symphony is recognized internationally as an ensemble of the highest caliber, performing a broad musical repertoire with skill and spirit. The St. Louis Symphony received a Grammy Award for Best Orchestral Performance at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in February of 2015, bringing their total number of Grammy Awards to seven.

Hailed by The New York Times as a “virtuoso…one of the foremost saxophonists of his generation,” “brilliant” (Guardian, U.K.), and “a sterling saxophonist” (Baltimore Sun), Timothy McAllister is one of today’s premier soloists, a member of the renowned PRISM Quartet, and a champion of contemporary music credited with dozens of recordings and more than 150 premieres of new compositions by eminent and emerging composers worldwide.

  • John Adams: Saxophone Concerto (2013)
  • Mahler: Symphony No. 5
