Aliso Viejo, CA - A small private liberal arts college in Aliso Viejo, CA has entered the “Top 50” in US News & World Report’s annual ranking of national liberal arts colleges – at the age of 11.
Soka University of America (SUA) tied for 49th in the national liberal arts college rankings – and was ranked #1 in Faculty Resources and Foreign Student Factor (with 42% of students coming from over 40 other countries.) SUA was also #2 in Ethnic Diversity (without including international students) and #8 in Best Value Schools. This ranking also placed Soka University in the top seven liberal arts colleges on the west coast.
“We know that we are providing a strong academic program because our students have been accepted at top graduate programs – including Harvard, Yale, Stanford and Oxford,” noted SUA president Daniel Y. Habuki, “but it’s very gratifying to see such high national rankings when we only opened our liberal art college in 2001.” The U.S. News Best Colleges 2013 rankings data are available at: http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-liberal-arts-colleges.
