Enjoy the superior acoustics of our venue to the fullest with these six intimate concerts for classical music lovers. This season includes two solo piano recitals, two string quartets and a cellist performing all of Bach’s cello suites over two performances.

Solo piano. Internationally recognized as one of today's most acclaimed and admired pianists, Grammy winner Bronfman’s is known for commanding technique, power and exceptional lyrical gifts. Program (revised 9/19/2016): Bartók - Suite, Op. 14, Sz. 62, BB 70; Schumann - Humoreske in B-flat Major, Op. 20; Debussy - Suite bergamasque; and Prokofiev - Sonata No.7.

Emerson String Quartet on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 8 p.m.

Nine-time GRAMMY Award winners, the Emerson String Quartet is joined by cellist Clive Greensmith, best known for the many years that he performed with the Tokyo String Quartet. Program: Bartok - 8 Duos for Two Violins; Beethoven - String Quartet in C-sharp Minor, Op. 131; and Schubert - Cello Quintet in C Major, D. 956.

Calidore String Quartet on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 3 p.m.

“The epitome of confidence and finesse” (Gramophone) and “a miracle of unified thought” (La Presse, Montreal), the Quartet has established an international reputation for its informed, polished and passionate performances. This concert will include the premiere of a new work by composer Caroline Shaw, co-commissioned by Soka University.

Matt Haimovitz on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 8 p.m. 

Matt Haimovitz on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 3 p.m.          

Renowned as a musical pioneer, Haimovitz has inspired classical music lovers and countless new listeners by bringing his artistry to any place he can bring his cello. Program: Bach’s Six Suites for Cello, plus overtures to Bach written by contemporary composers such as Phillip Glass, Du Yun and Vijay Iyer, performed over two performances. Plan to attend both!

Murray Perahia on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 8 p.m.

Solo piano. In the more than 40 years he has been performing on the concert stage, Grammy Award-winning American pianist Perahia has become one of the most sought-after, cherished pianists of our time. “Perahia’s extraordinary pianism is a sacrament of purification and a kind of return to an age of pianistic innocence” (LA Times).


Current Package Holder Renewals begin on May 9.

Current series package holder renewals will begin on May 9, 2016 using our online renewal system. Current package holders will receive a special renewal email notice with instructions and a link to renew their current seats. Current package holder seats will be held for renewal until July 6, 2016. After that date, seats that are not renewed will be released for general sale. Click here for renewal instructions.

Online Package Sales for new package subscribers will begin on June 6.

New series package requests will begin on June 6, 2016. An email notice will be sent out to all Soka Performing Arts Center patrons just prior to that date.

Package Sales end the day of the first performance in the series. At that time you may Create Your Own Series with these and other Soka PAC-presented events.

Single-Event Tickets go on sale July 6.

Tickets for individual events (Single-Event Tickets) will go on sale July 6, 2016. At that time, you may purchase any or all of the individual performances.
