What happens when you mix an eminent American jazz and classical pianist/composer with a Cuban Latin-jazz icon who has also become a celebrated classical music composer? Sean Jones, Inspired by Miles Davis’s Jazz
Friday, April 6, 2018, at 8:00 p.m.

Music and spirituality have always been intertwined in the artistic vision of trumpeter, composer, educator, and activist Sean Jones. As a child he performed with the church choir in his hometown of Warren, Ohio, and switched from the drums to trumpet upon his first exposure to Miles Davis at age ten. Twenty-five years later, he still cites Davis’s artistry and purity of sound as his greatest influence.
