SUA offers a study abroad program at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santiago through ISA. This program is best suited for students with higher-level Spanish proficiency.

Location
Located in the north, Santiago is the second-largest city in the Dominican Republic, its population is more than 500,000.

Climate
Tropical winds keep the customary heat and humidity of Santiago at bay, allowing for a year-round average temperature in the 60s and 70s.

Baseball
As is the case with much of the Dominican Republic, Santiago residents enjoy baseball, with their home team being the Aguilas Cibaeñas.
My program was more than I expected. I had all the help I could ask for and the people are very nice.
