Pacific Basin Research Center (PBRC)
The Pacific Basin Research Center (PBRC) conducts research on the humane and peaceful development in the countries of Oceania, Southeast Asia, East Asia, North America, and Latin America. The center adds to the academic discourse on campus by sponsoring special lectures, seminars, and conferences; support from the center also includes research and travel grants awarded annually to faculty and students studyingpublic policy interactions in the Pacific Basin in such areas as international security, economic and social development, educational and cultural reform, environmental protection and human rights. The PBRC is a resource for the study of Asia and the Pacific to both on-campus and off-campus constituents and interested persons.
