Having the ability to evaluate someone’s background and line of thinking facilitates better communication and accomplishment of the mission.

Assistant Judge Advocate at Air Force

My education studying SBS at Soka provided me a phenomenal understanding of how to relate to human beings on a deeper level; culture, gender, biases, family dynamic, and a variety of other individualized characteristics impact the way people see and interact with the world. As a Judge Advocate General (JAG), or attorney in the Air Force, I service many clients including struggling service members, commanders, and first sergeants. Having the ability to evaluate someone’s background and line of thinking facilitates better communication and accomplishment of the mission. Whatever an individual decides to study, focusing or supplementing with a concentration in SBS will serve one well professionally and personally.
