Athletics at Soka
Compete with purpose
At SUA, one in five students is a student-athlete. At a school of 480, that means you’re part of a supportive, tight-knit community where coaches are real mentors, your teammates celebrate your wins as much as their own, and everyone around you is invested in your growth on and off the field.
What athletics builds here
Soka Athletics is built on the same foundation as the university itself: wisdom, courage, and compassion. Student-athletes train hard, compete with integrity, and engage with their communities in ways that extend well beyond the scoreboard. The discipline, resilience, and leadership they develop here follow them into any career and every chapter of life.
Our teams
Soka fields 11 intercollegiate sports in the NAIA. Student-athletes compete in the Great Southwest Athletic Conference and Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference. Athletic scholarships are available.
Where you'll train
A 50-meter Olympic-size pool with a movable bulkhead and four diving boards. An eight-lane certified track. An 18,000-square-foot gymnasium. Six lighted tennis courts. Fully equipped weight rooms. A sports medicine complex with compression units and laser therapy. Everything is on campus and available to student-athletes year-round.
