I look forward to involving interested students in ongoing research projects and being available to advise and mentor student-led projects and activities.

My research focuses on ensuring that water is available to meet the basics needs of all people. While the idea of water issues often conjures images of drought-ridden areas where water quantity is limited (i.e. water scarcity), water quality actually limits access to safe drinking water in much of the world. I am excited to have the opportunity to teach at Soka, especially because the idea of a “global citizenship” is deeply embedded in all aspects of the university. In addition to working with students in courses on the Pacific Basin and water resources, I look forward to involving interested students in ongoing research projects and being available to advise and mentor student-led projects and activities.
