Look to the Future

A Message from the President

It has taken Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo less than 20 years to establish itself as a world-class university offering a unique education to young people from around the globe. Your generous gifts have made this possible. We are deeply grateful. But we have only just begun.

Ed Feasel

Our plans include the introduction of a Life Sciences concentration in our Liberal Arts curriculum that will be supported by the addition of a magnificent new science building.

We are excited to add a state-of-the-art observatory with remote-controlled telescopes that will allow Soka students to work remotely with researchers around the world.

Our addition of two residence halls will allow us to increase enrollment to approximately 600 students.

On May 3, 2021, we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo. You are warmly invited to join us in the celebration by participating in our campaign to fund the future. With a gift of $2,000, you will be recognized with your name on a donor wall inside the new science building. Your help will enable us to continue fulfilling our mission to foster a steady stream of global citizens committed to living a contributive life.

I look forward to seeing your name as we join to celebrate our 20-year success and fund a bright new generation of wisdom, courage, and compassion.

With deep appreciation,
Edward M. Feasel, PhD
President

The campaign is complete when we have 5,000 names. The celebration wall will be installed in May 2022.

20 Years is Something to Celebrate

Soka University of America started with a bold ideal to make the world a better place. Make it smarter. More peaceful. More sustainable. More attentive and compassionate.

We make the world better with every graduate because we only admit top students from around the world, committed to our mission, regardless of their ability to pay tuition costs. Then we challenge them intellectually. Send them abroad. Have them live on campus to gain a sense of a global community. The result is a deeply felt wisdom – together with knowledge – generating a uniquely global perspective few other universities can match.

Seldom do other institutions fund outstanding students’ educations to the degree we do – 100% of our students receive financial aid. But we wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t working wonders.
