This day marks the time in which you — members of the Class of 2019 — take wing as youthful leaders of global citizenry who will contribute to the peace and happiness of humankind.

Soka University has been a tremendous support both financially and emotionally.

Soka’s small class sizes were intimidating at the start but … I have been able to transform my shy and timid personality into a confident and outspoken young woman.

Encountering exceptionally talented, experienced, and diverse peers was the highlight of my graduate life.

Soka allows me to be immersed in different cultures … and provides me with a safe space to have dialogue with those individuals to understand their world a little bit more.

I got to create incredible memories, travel across six different regions in Japan, and make lifelong friendships with people from all over the world.

After all, I did fall in love with France, but I also fell in love with other countries and cultures, including my own.
