Academics
Study the world. Then go change it.
SUA offers one undergraduate degree — a B.A. in Liberal Arts — and one graduate program. Both are built on the same premise: that rigorous academics, real faculty relationships, and direct experience across cultures produce people ready to contribute to a more peaceful and equitable world.
Undergraduate studies
Daisaku Ikeda College, SUA's undergraduate program, awards a single degree: a B.A. in Liberal Arts with five concentrations. Average class size of 12, a 7:1 student-faculty ratio, required study abroad at no extra cost, and classmates from 40+ nations. Four years of interdisciplinary learning that prepares you for a meaningful career in any field, from diplomacy and NGO work to education, business, tech, medicine, law, and beyond.
Graduate studies
A two-year M.A. in Educational Leadership and Societal Change for those committed to meaningful reform in education and global institutions. Students develop advanced research skills and an ethically grounded approach to leadership — learning to analyze systems, challenge inequities, and drive change in schools and communities around the world.
Scholars, mentors, colleagues.
At Soka, the 7:1 student-faculty ratio means your professors are more than instructors — they’re mentors. They know your academic goals, your research interests, and where you want to go. That kind of close mentorship shapes not just what you learn, but how you grow into your career.
