It is important to understand not only the underlying pathology a patient may have, but also the psychological component that may be contributing to their overall dysfunction.

Training in SBS at Soka provided the fundamental skills and habits required for an intellectual profession like mine.

SBS has given me the capability to engage with the world critically and reflexively and to bend rather than break when challenged by tough projects in graduate school.

I enjoyed the wide variety of economics courses, which allowed me to receive exposure on possible future fields that I could pursue. 

At my current job in global health, having the economics background allows me to understand the language of the ministry of finance and private sector.

I enjoyed the variety of courses available in the Humanities concentration, and always felt supported by my professors!

Choosing Humanities as my concentration gave me the freedom to follow creative pursuits with my capstone.

My experiences in the humanities concentration matured and sculpted my intellectual pursuits within myself and the world.
