As I was used to small classroom sizes, group projects, and interdisciplinary approaches at Soka, I excelled in the MA program.

I learned to understand and approach global issues from a diverse range of approaches . . . which have shaped how I view the world today.

I developed a profound appreciation for scientific research, as well as a spirit for seeking knowledge in a discipline that is constantly changing.

The autonomy gained and experiences abroad through Soka prepared me well for my Fulbright research in Taiwan.

It is rare that undergraduate students get to work closely with faculty members to the same extent as at Soka, so . . . take advantage of the opportunity.

I became a hard worker, and have a continual interest in the topics that I studied.

Having the ability to evaluate someone’s background and line of thinking facilitates better communication and accomplishment of the mission.
