Discover a Path to Global Citizenship
Why Choose Soka University of America?
Our Southern California campus sits three miles from the Pacific, overlooking a wilderness park. Here, learning alongside classmates from 40+ nations turns difference into dialogue, understanding into opportunity. With a 7:1 student-to-faculty ratio, financial aid for all students, and study abroad included in tuition, global citizenship education becomes possible for everyone.
Financial aid that works
Our financial aid reaches families across the income spectrum.
Families earning under $90,000 receive full tuition coverage. Families earning up to $250,000 are eligible for 50% tuition support, and those earning up to $300,000 receive 25%. Every admitted student — regardless of family income — receives a merit scholarship. You’ll receive a free MacBook at orientation. Study abroad is included in tuition at no additional cost. Four years of guaranteed housing on campus. No extra fees, no surprises.
The Liberal Arts advantage
Here, your professors know your name — and your aspirations.
With a population of 450 students and an average class size of 12, your ideas matter in every seminar. Your voice shapes campus dialogue.
The Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts combines interdisciplinary academics with practical skill sets that are applicable in a wide range of careers, from diplomacy to sustainability and entrepreneurship.
You’ll focus on one of five possible concentrations — environmental studies, humanities, international studies, life sciences, or social & behavioral sciences — that will prepare you to address the global issues you care about most.
Studying abroad is built into your degree. After two years studying a new language, you’ll spend a semester immersing yourself in another culture.
Living all four years on our campus overlooking a wilderness park in Aliso Viejo, California, you’ll be part of a tight-knit, international community that’s passionate about positive change. In Soka residence halls, late-night conversations about climate policy happen as naturally as pickup basketball games. Take a virtual tour →
