The Office of Admission invites high school students and three of their guests to take a closer look at Soka University of America. You will have opportunities to interact with our faculty, staff, and students throughout the day through various sessions. Guests will also be able to experience our campus up close through our student-led campus tours.

Pre-registration is highly preferred for this event. Walk-in registration is also available on the day of the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lions Roar is held rain or shine. If rain is expected, please bring an umbrella to the event. We will provide a bus to take you on the campus tour.

Soka University is located between major freeways (5 and 405) and toll roads. Various routes to campus can be found on our Driving Directions webpage.

Parking is FREE! All guests enter through Soka’s front gate. Security will direct you to park in LOT A. Maps of campus are available on our website.

It is not necessary to print your reservation confirmation. Your confirmation can be displayed on your smartphone or tablet. If you have forgotten or lost your confirmation, our admission staff can check you in when you arrive.

Lions Roar’s registration and check-in is located inside Founders Hall.

Lions Roar’s registration and check-in begins at 10:00 AM. Many guests arrive early, and we often open the doors to Founders Hall by 9:45 AM. Registration takes only a few minutes. Sessions officially begin at 10:30 AM. Guests arriving late must find a staff member to register.

Refreshments and snacks are provided during the Meet and Greet.

Yes. Guests needing accommodations are asked to identify their needs on the registration form and also call us at 888-600-SOKA x 4150. An electric cart will be available for use. We do have some limits on the number we are able to accommodate with the cart. For this reason, we ask that you plan ahead and call us with your information.

There is plenty to explore at Soka and around Aliso Viejo. In addition to nearby eateries and entertainment, The Soka Performing Arts Center is a modern venue that features world-class acoustics and attracts performers from around the globe.
