Seville, Spain

SUA offers a study abroad program at Universidad de Sevilla, Universidad Pablo de Olavide, & Estudios Universitarios Superiores de Andalucía through CIEE.

There are almost-daily free field trips to parts of the city and surrounding cities to learn about the history and culture, or just to hike.

Program Characteristics

  • Liberal Arts: The fall semester takes place from early September to mid-December. The spring semester takes place from mid-January to mid-May.
  • Advanced Liberal Arts: The fall semester takes place from mid-August to mid-December. The spring semester takes place from early January to late May.
  • 2.5 GPA.
  • For advanced Liberal Arts, a STAMP test score from Intermediate-mid required.

There are two recommended tracks for SUA students: Liberal Arts and Advanced Liberal Arts. A conversation exchange program with Spanish students is an important part of the program. Intercambios gives you the chance to practice what you are learning in the language courses, as well as help you become more integrated into Spanish student life, and Sevillano life and culture.

Sevilla offers amazing cultural activities, from flamenco to classical, pop, and jazz concerts. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to interact with your Spanish peers. Take part in a weekly CIEE sports match, experience the city’s alternative cinema, participate in language intercambios, try flamenco dancing, and more.

You will live with a Spanish host family.
