Environmental Studies Alumni
Students graduating from SUA with an Environmental Studies concentration have found work in a wide variety of careers such as sustainability management, renewable energy, geospatial sciences, environmental engineering, law, firefighting, business consulting, environmental management, urban and regional planning, environmental policy, education, the financial industry, social entrepreneurship, biodiversity conservation and management, architectural design, physics, fashion, and journalism.
About one third to one half of our graduates eventually pursue another degree. So far, SUA environmental studies graduates have continued their studies with pre-medical programs, associate degrees, and BA, BS, BE, MA, MS, MPA, MBA, MPH, JD, and PhD degrees in fields such as geographic information systems, environmental management, urban and regional planning, geography, environmental policy, educational leadership, environmental engineering, public finance, social entrepreneurship, biodiversity conservation and management, design, and physics.
Our graduates have been accepted into distinguished graduate schools in the United States, Europe, Australia, Taiwan, and Japan. The list of institutions includes Yale, Oxford, University of Michigan, Indiana University, Tufts University, Duke University, UCLA, USC, Pepperdine University, Boston University, Washington and Lee University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Claremont Graduate University, Clark University, University College London, University of East Anglia, Cardiff University, University of Edinburgh, Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, Australian National University, Tokyo University, National Taiwan University, National University of Singapore, and Soka University of Japan. While many of our graduates live in the United States, others have moved to places like Japan, New Zealand, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Costa Rica, and Malaysia.
